Dong Ho Folk Painting Village in Heritages List submitted UNESCO
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued the Decision No. 498/ BVHTTDL-DSVH on listing the Dong Ho Folk Painting Village in Heritages submitted UNESCO.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Vietnam Tourism (MCST) received a document No. 1072/UBND-VX on June 07, 2011 of Bac Ninh People's Committee on requesting the Prime Minister to issue the permission for Bac Ninh province to apply Dong Ho Folk Painting Village for intangible cultural heritages list submitted UNESCO.
Currently, the MCST has been cooperating with other agencies to research and propose the Prime Minister for the permission of creating profile on intangible cultural heritage submitted UNESCO for the period of 2012-2016. After receiving reply from the Prime minister, the MCST will work with localities having intangible cultural heritages which are allowed to create profile , to schedule research and implementation of profile submitted UNESCO.
In this time, the provinces are required to focus on listing process of intangible cultural heritages and making profile of the typical intangible cultural heritages selected in national intangible cultural heritage list.
